Your White Gold Oval Engagement Ring Questions, Answered

Are these lab grown or natural diamonds?

These are lab grown diamonds, the oval centre and all the accents, and we want to be completely clear about that. A lab grown diamond is a real diamond, with the exact same chemical, physical, and optical properties as one mined from the earth, so it sparkles identically and lasts just as long. The only difference is the origin, since it is grown in a controlled setting rather than dug from the ground. Why choose lab grown? Value, mostly. You get a much larger, higher grade ring for your budget, like this 3.51ct oval, for far less than a mined equivalent. So it is real brilliance and real gold.

What do the specs 3.51ct, E colour and VVS2 clarity mean?

Good question, since these grades decide a lot. The 3.51ct is the weight of the oval centre diamond, a large, glamorous size that looks even bigger thanks to the elongated shape, and the accents add around 1.05ct for roughly 4.56ct in total. E colour sits near the very top of the colour scale, so the centre looks bright and white with no visible tint. VVS2 stands for very, very slightly included, one of the highest clarity grades, meaning any tiny natural marks are extremely hard to find even under magnification. So this is a large, exceptionally white and clean diamond, and lab grown makes those top grades wonderfully affordable.

What is a hidden halo?

It is a lovely secret detail. A hidden halo is a ring of tiny diamonds set underneath the centre stone, around the base where it meets the band, rather than around the top where everyone sees it. So from above, the ring shows off the clean oval outline, but catch it from the side and you spot that extra sparkle peeking out. On this ring, 26 small diamonds form the hidden halo beneath the 3.51ct oval, adding fire without crowding the centre stone. It is a romantic touch, a little bit of magic the wearer knows about.

Why are there oval diamonds on the band?

It is what makes this ring feel so beautifully coordinated. Instead of a plain row of small round pave, the shoulders are set with ten oval diamonds, 0.95ct in total, that echo the shape of the centre stone. So the whole ring reads as one flowing design, with each oval leading the eye towards the main diamond. Because each side stone is larger than typical pave, the band throws off real sparkle of its own. So you get a generous, elegant frame for the centre that stands apart from the usual solitaire or pave band.

Why choose an oval cut diamond?

The oval is one of the most loved shapes, and for good reason. It is a brilliant cut, so it sparkles intensely like a round diamond, yet its elongated shape spreads the stone wider, which makes it look even larger, remarkable on a stone already this size. The long shape also flatters the hand, gently lengthening and slimming the finger. On top of that, the oval feels both classic and current, a timeless choice that still looks fresh and modern. So if you want maximum sparkle, a flattering shape, and grand presence, the oval delivers it all beautifully.
